01. Operational Overview
Siskiyou Energy takes an aggressive, but calculated, approach to oil and gas exploration; identifying valuable prospects and using modern technology to develop them to their full potential through the drill bit.
Our commitment to efficient exploration, and the area where we do it, enables us to punch above our weight in delivering value for our partners.
Owns royalties in 33+ producing wells on over 10,000 acres Held-By-Production in southwestern Indiana. Wells to be drilled and acreage to be added for the foreseeable future. Quarterly dividends paid without stoppage since Q4 2018.
Discovered a virgin Aux Vases Sandstone reservoir in 2018 underneath a forgotten field from the early 1900's with 1 MM+ barrels of original oil in place (OOIP). Drilled 15 wells thus far, and produced nearly 100,000 barrels in the process. Currently developing a multi-pay waterflood program to accelerate production.
Multiple prospects first drilled in Q4 2019. Has since drilled 22+ wells; discovered & brought online multiple virgin reservoirs; extended multiple historic reservoirs; and produced 60,000+ barrels in the process. Development to continue as the project shifts towards "profit-taking" in 2024.
Awaiting test results from first of five (5) exploratory wildcats to be drilled on Siskiyou-Twins LP's leasehold. Remaining four (4) to be drilled in Summer of 2024.
02. CONVENTIONAL VERTICAL DRILLING
We drill primarily vertical wells, targeting conventional structure-trapped reservoirs, but also finding stratigraphically-trapped reservoirs in deeper formations as we drill under-and-around our initial discovery.
To aid in this, we combine "old school" geological mapping and study of historical drilling records with "new school" analysis of our drilled wells using modern wireline, logging, and data management technology.
03. OUR Expertise
We are a leading Indiana oil and gas exploration and production company that employs a proven and efficient drilling process to unlock the potential of under-developed fields.

04. Location Advantages
Indiana has long been a "coal first" state in terms of energy resources, which made it difficult for oil companies to compete.
This has changed in recent years, with new land and development opportunities arising where once coal was the only game in town.
Indiana boasts a business-friendly political environment with streamlined regulatory policies that foster economic growth.
This allows us to focus on our core mission of unlocking the full potential of valuable oil and gas assets.
The Hoosier State has a long, rich history of oil and gas production, going back over 140 years. It was in Indiana that the Trenton Field, America’s first giant oil field, was discovered in 1876 and developed by none other than John D. Rockefeller himself.
However, over the decades, and largely due to its dependence on coal production, southwestern Indiana has largely avoided the oil & gas development well known to its neighbors (and Illinois Basin counterparts) Illinois and Kentucky.
New technology and regulatory rules are changing this right now in Indiana.
Indiana's low Petroleum Severance Tax (see above) rate of just 1% gives every barrel of Hoosier Sweet a head start in turning profit as compared to its rivals in other states.
